Fall meeting of Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia – We are Stronger Together

All (members and non-members) are welcome to attend!

  • When? November 1st, 9:30am to 4:30pm
  • Where? at the NEW Wolfville Farmers’ Market Location!
    (In the interest of fairness, the spring 2012 AGM will be held in the NE of the province)

11:45 to 12:45  lunch and networking (doors open to everyone!)

FMNS Awards
At the AGM this spring we challenged you to come up with the most inspiring marketing ideas – that challenge still stands. Now it’s time to share your brilliant ideas! Please email me at FMNS@farmersmarketsnovascotia.ca to nominate yourself, a manager, a board member or a vendor for the ‘FMNS Marketing Award’.

Remember to share:-

  • The name of the recipient
  • Their position or role i.e. manager, vendor etc
  • Their farmers’ market
  • Their business name (if they are a vendor)
  • Their brilliant idea

Who can attend
Morning Session 9:30 to 11:45 – Respresentatives of FMNS and member markets only
Afternoon Session 11:45 to 5pm – ANYONE! Market Managers, Vendors (current and future), Board members, Representatives of related organisations, Customers, Government officials etc.

What does it cost to attend?
There is no cost for attending our AGM or Presentations in 2011 because, for the last two years, we have worked hard to create an inclusive Farmers’ Market community and encourage you to join us!
Please note that starting in 2012 we will be asking non-member markets to pay to attend meetings and workshops of this kind, purely out of fairness to our member markets.
So join us this November to make the most of our great presentations and opportunity to share with other Farmers’ Markets from around the province. Come see what wonderful work FMNS is doing for its members and could be doing for you too!

Please email me at FMNS@farmersmarketsnovascotia.ca to let me know who will be attending ASAP. This very important if we don’t want to run out of coffee! We will be providing a light local lunch and we’ll be putting out a ‘thankyou jar’ for you to contribute to the food and drinks.
