BIPOC Vendor Marketing Grant 2022

Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia is offering $200-250 to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or racialized) farmers’ market vendors to help with marketing expenses. Please fill out this application form by July 22nd to express interest.

Eligible vendors can apply for funds to do: print, radio or social media advertising, graphic/web design services, photography, and/or marketing material printing (such as signage, flyers, business cards, etc.)

Accepted vendors will be emailed instructions on how to complete the grant. You’ll be asked to make your purchases, fill out a simple expense form, return the form to us, and then you will receive a reimbursement in a timely manner. Expense forms will need to be submitted by September 30th to receive your reimbursement.

FMNS Board Nominations 2022

FMNS currently has set aside one additional seat on its current 7-member Board of Directors to be exclusively occupied by individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a non-black person of colour.

A Board term is a 3-year commitment, with the option to serve up to two consecutive 3-year terms, before a year must be taken off.

The additional seat to be exclusively occupied by individuals who identify as BIPOC will remain open until filled and you are encouraged to connect folx within your farmers’ market and network with this opportunity.
