Public markets are essential food infrastructure providing essential economic services and are presently allowed in Nova Scotia. However, Nova Scotia remains under a Provincial State of Emergency, effective Sunday, March 22, 2020. The situation can change at any time. Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia has updated our farmers’ market sector-specific COVID-19 prevention plan. This plan is in the form of recommended directives that will allow Nova Scotia’s farmers’ markets to continue safely operating and serving Nova Scotians. The plan remains effective as of Monday, February 8, 2021.
