Annapolis Royal Farmers’ & Traders’ Market
Participating in Farmers’ Market Week! Saturday July 27, 9am–1pm

Antigonish Farmers’ Market
Participating in Farmers’ Market Week! Wednesday July 24, 4-7pm
Meet the Animals Market! July 3 4pm-7pm
Farm animal meet and greet during our Wednesday evening market. Fun friendly goats, rabbits and variety of chicken breeds. Face painter and live music by Shiretown.

Kids Zone and Scavenger Hunt Market! July 10 and August 14, 4pm-7pm
Fun evenings for kids during our Wednesday evening markets, with a Kid’s Zone set up, Scavenger Hunt, Face Painting and Live Music!

Venezuelan Market Meal: July 17 4pm-7pm
A Venezuelan meal made by our Summer 2024 dietetic intern Sonia from St.FX during our Wednesday evening market. Using a combination of local and diverse ingredients. Pulled Beef or Bean & Mushroom Empanadas, Cumin Cole Slaw, Strawberries & Cream with Sponge Cake.

Christmas in July Market: July 24, 4pm-7pm
Christmas decorations, music, and free Christmas treats!

Community Night Market: August 7 4pm-7pm
Various community organizations providing information about available resources during our Wednesday evening market.

Let’s grab some local food, a picnic blanket and basket and eat out in the park. Music, cool drinks, food trucks, fresh grub.

Avon River Days: August 4th 10am-2pm
We are celebrating the beautiful area of the Avon River with a whole-town party all weekend. Come to Windsor for this annual festival!

Community partners such as Hfx Libraries will promote the Summer Reading Program, YMCA and Hfx Rec will join us as we create a fun event to start the summer break! 

Christmas in July! Thursday, July 25 4-7pm
Santa will join us for FREE photos with the jolly man! There will be FREE face painting & a colouring contest for the little ones.

Celebrating Family: August 15, 4-7pm
Fairview Family Resource Centre & Fairview Community Association will join us at this event. There will be a photo booth for families to have their photo taken.

Food truck rally and a stacked lineup of indoor food vendors. Music, cash bar.


Kingston Farmers’ Market

Raising Backyard Chickens Workshop: July 25, 3–7pm. They will also be running a colouring contest, a 50/50 raffle, and a Market Haul photo contest with a Farmers Markets of Nova Scotia prize pack.

Join us for an outdoor evening market with our wonderful vendors, food truck and beer garden.

17th Birthday Celebration: Sunday July 28, 10am–2pm
Will will have facepainting and live entertainment and over 20 vendors. We will have tent prizes (door prizes). The Railway Museum will be open for everyone to experience our museums railway history.

Pride Market: August 18, 10am-2pm
Come celebrate Pride on the Eastern Shore. There will be entertainment, raffles, food trucks, beer garden and over 30 vendors at this years event.

Night Market: August 23, 6-9pm
Join us for an outdoor evening market with our wonderful vendors, food truck and beer garden.

Hide Tanning Demonstration: June 14, 2-6pm
Join us for hide tanning demonstration from Maggie Oickle from Maggie’s Way, to learn about how to get into hide tanning, what tools you need, and ask questions about this beautiful skill from our friendly community member.

Ox Yoke Carving Demonstration: Friday June 28th, 2-6pm
The New Germany and Surrounding Areas have a rich history of ox pulling with some folks in the community still carving wooden yokes in the traditional way. Stop by to learn about and see a live demonstration with a show-and-tell of this rural craft from Larry Forrest.

Bike to Market: Friday July 12, 2–6pm
Free iced treat for anyone who arrives to the market on their bicycle!
Flag Bunting Making: Friday July 19, 2–6pm
Come enjoy making some bunting with our volunteers to keep decorating our market.

Heritage Places Days: Friday July 12, 4–7pm
Old School Markets are inviting creators of heritage arts, local foods, and knowledge to present their wares and share practical skills in support of School restoration funds. Donations and all occasional vendor fees on this day will go towards necessary Museum repairs including chimney, paint, and windows. 

Farmer’s Market Week: July 26, 4–7pm
Customer appreciation gift draw for FMNS Anniversary edition tote, printed copy of the cookbook, and bumper stickers.

I Scream 4 History: Sunday July 28, 12–3pm
At this event, visitors are invited to learn about and take part in historical ice cream making. This dessert—initially a treat reserved for the wealthy—was not easy to come by in the 18th century when Shelburne was founded. We’ll walk through all the work that went into making colonial ice cream and the innovations that made it a summer staple today. To cap it off, visitors will get to try some old fashioned ice cream!

Select vendors will be putting together special picnic boxes and everyone will be encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful Creamery Square. We also hope to have a Photo Booth and Face Painting as well as our usual live music and petting zoo.

Market Brunch, Silent Auction & Yard Sale: August 25 10am-2pm
Visit us in Creamery Square for a market brunch, silent auction, and yard sale with live music. Enjoy locally sourced brunch options, bid on local goodies at our silent auction, and repurpose some treasures at our community yard sale!

Truro Farmers’ Market

Our Annual Food Truck Rally Fundraiser! July 17, 4-8pm
Ten food trucks, live music, seating in the Civic Sqaure, and a volunteer staffed sorting station. Asking for a $2 donation to enter the trucks for the care and upkeep of Market Hall.
