Why do I need vendor insurance?
Our vendor liability coverage protects you if a liability claim is filed against you in the event you cause Bodily Injury or Property Damage to the event host or visitors to your booth during the time you are operating as a vendor. With Duuo, you also have the option to include coverage for your own business property.

Commercial Liability Insurance
Starting in 2022, our ongoing partnership with the Co-operators has been expanding to provide you with many more opportunities to save money on your insurance needs. Through this partnership, FMNS member markets and their vendors save at least 30% on any commercial liability insurance plan with the Co-operators through Blain King Insurance and Financial Services. Note: These new programs are designed to ensure that your market receives the coverage and flexibility to meet your needs. For existing certificate holders on the previous group rate plan, Blain King Insurance and Financial Services will guarantee your 2021 rate for 2022.
Employee Health Benefits Package for FMNS Members
Did you know that as a member of the Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia (FMNS) Cooperative, you’re able to take advantage of a unique Employee Benefits Package designed specifically for self-employed farmers’ market vendors and/or farmers’ market-based businesses with 1 to 5 employees?
This farmers’ market sector-specific group health insurance plan is the only one of its kind in Canada. The program has been made available through FMNS’ partner broker, Selectpath, and is administered by RWAM Insurance.
