About Us

The Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market at Creamery Square provides a vibrant facility to support local farm products, crafts, baked goods, artisans and more and with over 25,000 visitors last year. The new Waterfront Canopy added to the Farmers’ Market will impress all visitors with a spectacular view of the Waugh River.

One of the  most important contributions the Market makes to community life is as a gathering place for residents and visitors alike.  It’s ability to attract many guests compliments the features of the Heritage Centre and other local resources such as the Trans Canada Trial which runs through the Creamery Square property.

The market boasts 24 member businesses as well as another 25-30 vendors who display their products during the busy summer season or at special events throughout the year.  The Market is open to the public from February to Christmas on Saturday mornings. A full array of in season vegetables, fruit, berries, baked goods, meats, prepared foods, breakfast dishes, fruit trees, soaps, jewelry, art and crafts, flowers, herbs, seedlings, eggs, honey, beeswax candles, handmade maple chocolates and maple syrup products.

In addition to this the market also organizes special activities on a regular basis to highlight and display traditional crafts, festivals such as the provincial blueberry festival and Canada Day, and workshops at which children and adults can learn more about and practice skills such as candle making, soap making, spinning and preserving food.
