  1. Do you have a printed list of all the markets and the contact information I could get. I tried printing the poster but it was much too blurry.

I know the focus of farmers markets is rooted in produce and agriculture but also have other “craft” vendors. How is this received by the organizers? I have a used/vintage bicycles business and a line of Canadian made cycling accessories geared towards environmentally and socially responsible commuter bicyclists.

Would most markets consider having such a vendor?

    Thanks and take care,

    Daryl

    • Hi Daryl, farmers’ markets that are a member of Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia (FMNS) adhere to a policy of “make it, bake it, grow it” meaning that the product sold at the market be produced by the person selling. Our policy is that a minimum of 60% of a vendor’s table be their own product with up to 40% being locally produced but by someone else (such as bringing Valley Mushrooms). Each market in addition has its own policies. I would suggest contacting the market/s that you are interested in attending and asking them directly. Best of luck, Keltie

    • Hi Angela, the Alderney Landing Market is in full swing on Saturdays and Sundays. During the week, you can find all the basics in that same space thanks to the Noggins Farm store now set up there. Enjoy, Keltie
