Participating Farmers’ Markets

Frequently Asked Questions

What can the vouchers be redeemed for?

Vouchers can be redeemed with any market vendor at participating farmers’ market locations (list above). The only exception is that vouchers cannot be redeemed towards beverage alcohol products. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.

We encourage everyone to explore the market and find a producer or maker that interests them.

Where can we use them?

Vouchers can be redeemed at a vendor at a participating FMNS member farmers’ market location (list above).

Please note: Vouchers cannot be used at non-FMNS member farmers’ markets or grocers such as farm markets.

What’s the difference between a farmers’ market and a farm market store?

Farmers’ markets are comprised of groups of vendors that run their own businesses. With our member farmers’ markets, all vendors need to adhere to a “Make it, Bake it, Grow it” policy which ensures that vouchers are used towards authentically Nova Scotian products. Farm market stores, while they often sell local products, are operated as a single business and many also carry imported products.

Who will receive the Nova Scotia Loyal Vouchers?
